Door lock (not keyless) help

Okay, here's my banter:

By some EXTREMELY odd reason, a couple months ago both of my locks went. My keys wouldnt open either door. I take off the door panels and find out that somehow this appx. 1 foot long "locking rod" piece has fallen off on both sides. I see where it hooks up (up top by where you put the key in), but I dont know where the other end goes. Can someone please help me out or tell me how to find out? I checked Chilton's but they dont tell you and have no pictures.

check your glass and weather stripping and junk... sounds like someone tried to slimjim your car and didn't do a very good job...

not sure how to fix, but i'm sure if you move the lock knob back and forth to see kinda how it works? i've taken it apart before, and once you see how it works, it all makes sense

i see how the lock (where u put the key) works, and how to hook up one end, but i dont knwo where the other end goes!! wtf

Anybody got anything to help me out here?? Or know of a good source to find out other than the shhhh it E dealer?

Why not call the masters themselves. heh. Take your door panels off and call the locksmith. I am sure they know whats goin on. a locksmith from my area actualy came out and replaced some part in the ignition cuz the key would get stuck in my dads car. So i guess you could call and tell them the situation.

I cant really think of any place else.
