Door lock (keyless) help

In addition to my key not unlocking either door, now my keyless entry doesn't work. I dont know if this has to do anything with it, but my "trunk" fuse keeps blowing whenever I put a new one in. I took it to a shop and they wanted $85 to find out where the short was. I could careless about the trunk button not working, but has anyone had this problem?

If I bought a new keyless entry/remote start system, would that fix the problem? or would it still not work?

For the remote you might try to resynch it. Here's the procedure for the Alero, I would assume it's the same on the GA.

To resynchronize your transmitter and receiver, follow these directions:

1. Stand close to your vehicle.

2. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter at teh same time.

3. Hold the buttons for seven seconds. In this time, the doors should lock and unlock once. This confirms the resynchronization. If the doors do not lock and unlock, see your stealer for service.[/b]

I've tried it :rage: Dealers want so much just to look at it, let alone fix it! One day i'll figure it out myself :huh:
