Outa what you may ask , well I havent gotten that far , I was think fiberglass , but Im not really sure. Heres the pic of the lights I would be takin about too . Any Ideas or anything please let me know I wanna find a way to do this , cant be that hard right ?

we all know how cool the projector style lenses are on cars. but for the GA, its gonna take a lot of customization to fit an assembly made for another car. it can be done, you just need the $$$. ive never worked with fiberglass before, so i wouldnt know if it would work or not.
you could ask APC, once they are done with the altezza's lol you might be waiting for a little while though :D

Im not really lookin to fit another cars headlight assembly into our cars , Im just lookin to gut them of the parts and make a new housing for them.

a set a left and right headlight
That idea is very posible. The fiberglass ideas is a good one in fact i started on my own tail lights in a similar maner this morning just hadnt had time to spread the news... but Rayc3r X is on to something, i might just have to try that soon. The fiberglass work is dificult but with a little practice not that hard.

what kind of tail lights are you making? that would be nice to get a set of HID's and match em up with the projector lenses. that combination looks soo sweet. i can see those lights about a mile away they are so powerful.

Anyone out there willing to draw up a rough draft of a possible design , my art skills arent exactly up to par, Id like to get something to take to a body shop that Im pretty sure I can get this done , the guy does all kinds of crazy fiberglass work . If anyone can do this , Im more than will to take this to the next step
I'm sure it could be done. None of those really look like true "projectors" though (with the convex lenses)...
I've been planning this mod for a while with my alero, ever since my buddy spent a grand on projectors from Japan on his MX-6.
Instead of getting fancy with the fiberglas I was going to use the existing housing with some projector style foglights molded in on the backside. Only worry would be the lens melting from the heat (those babies get HOT).
Anyways, good luck with your project...I'll get mine done once I get a garage, already bought the relays, fogs, wiring stuff and holesaws.

The headlight housings are not exactly cheap guys. At least $175 a piece. They are made of some type of phenolic/fiberglass.
You could get the projector housings (the glass part) and fit them to the GA. But there is the issue of our cars having one output for the low and high beams (9007) we can only use one easily.
With heavier modification you would have a truely unique lightset, a two stage low and high beam headlight. To do this would be very challenging and would probably demand some fing around with every Spaceship Brother's favorite part - the BCM!;)

Well 175 doesnt sound bad to me , I guess maybe I didnt take into account the wiring , I suppose your the one to talk to about the wiring part , so I know that it will be difficult , but the real question is how much ? I mean this would be quite the unique project , and plus damn it would look cool :D

I wouldn't waste money buying an existing set of projectors for another car if all you want to do is cannabalize them for parts. There really aren't many "guts" to take out in the first place. The first example of projector housings you showed are for a 96-00 civic, and I had those exact lights installed on my old Si. they are basically just a simple plastic housing with some driving lights bolted in place to serve as headlights. The original Honda headlights were the same style as the GA's, meaning they only used one bulb for both high and low beams. The solution to this for the projectors was simply a wireing harness that plugged into the stock headlight output and then split off to the two seperate headlights. Basically nothing more than a Y shaped harness. so the wireing would really be pretty simple and you shouldn't have to mess with the GA's factory wireing or BCM at all. I still have those old headlights since I removed them before selling the Si, so maybe I'll dig them out and look at exactly how that wireing harness was made. Anyway, hopefully some of this might help you if you decide to start the project.

So what exactly would the steps be in making projectors for a GA?

Theres another website that have the projectors light for the GA but I believe the name of that website can't be mention here. But is to much money $900.

Actually I wrote them asking some questions about their projectors light and they wrote me a couple of weeks ago asking me if I was still interested on buying one of their projectors headlights. I believe they are making some more.
