My front wheels were slipping on ice today and I noticed that when I keep pushing the pedal, the RPM would drop so it won't let wheels spin at such high speed. How does this work? How can you all do burnouts?

Our cars have traction control. For an explanation go read your owner's manual. The ETS button on your dash turns it off.

The traction control on my car is crap, it used to work good I remember when I would be spinning in the snow I could feel the traction control engaging and the Low Trac light would also light up too. But now I could be stuck in snow and it would just go up to like 3k rpm then the car would start misfiring, like its only running on 3 cyclinders, then it would drop down to 1500 rpm. But maybe it could be that I need new tires also.

I've noticed that with my seriously worn RSA's, my traction control has become quite scary. It'll start to drag you off the road as it kicks in and out. With newer tires, it worked well enough, but in the snow and ice, it just pulls the car to the right really bad. I just turn it off when I'm in snow.
