We all know black cars are a pain. No matter how often I go over the car with my "Absorber" it leaves a trail of water spots. Argh!
Any ideas?
How about waxes? I've always had good luck with this Rubber Seal wax that is supposed to be available to body shops only. I just picked up some Meguirs Gold Class (or something like that). I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks.

As a fellow black GA owner I feel your pain. what i do is dry the entire car very well (of course) but i park it hanging out of my driveway so that the back end is on the down slope this helps mainly in the back of the car where all the water hides. also i pop the trunk lid when i start to dry the car so that the water drips out from all the crevices in the trunk and stuff. I dry the car front to back to let the water run off the trunk lid. I also stick a cotton towel in between the rubber lining around the tail lights as well as the head lights and around the side mirror housings to get the puddles of water that build up. when i get all the visble water i go for a quick drive up and down the main street real quick i just floor it to the light get to about 50 mph flip a bitch (U-turn) and floor it back the other way, this blows all the water out of the cracks. but you dont drive long enough to dry it on the car. get back home clean up the drips and Im set. Its a long explination but it works great! Hope that helps

I have a black GA too. I use "Super Glaze" by the Wax Shoppe and "Zymol". Both are excellnt in my opinion.
Nice car, BTW!!!

Zaino the best by far! If you don't have the money for it, Zymol is second best!

Newspaper? You're kidding, right?
As far as a chamois goes......I use "The Absorber." Most of the guys at car shows seem to use them.
I do like the idea of driving as quickly as possible to dry the car, that sounds like fun.
Thanks for the input.

Newspaper? I would never put something so dirty, so gritty on my cars finish. I can't believe that works. I'll try it on friend's car first.

Newspaper does work awsome on windows, but i don't think i'd want anything that coarse on my paint! :(
When you use the Absorber, make sure you go over one last time while the rag is damp, you should be able to buff out the spots!
I have also heard great things about this Flash Wax (http://www.flashwax.com/product1.html) I plan to order some in the spring time, but I haven't tried it yet.

That Flash Wax contains carnabu so it won't last. It's wax so I mean put some beeswax on your hood and see how long it lasts in the summer time. Zaino or Zymol two best :)
