I definently want to get a body-kit for my 02GAGT sometime this month, but I really can't decide on which kit to go for. My first choice is the *** kit, and my last is the SC/T, but I was curious to what everyone recommends. I've read that the Kato Combat kit is pretty hard to maintain (painting it is a real pain), and that the SC/T is the sturdier of the 3. Anyways, anyone here got any advice for me? Thanks.

My vote..........SC/T. Then ***, and don't even consider the AAS one, IMO it looks terrible. They did nothing to make the kit blend with the GA's lines.
People whine about how **** boys this and **** boys that, then everyone want's a **** boy body kit for the GA. IMO keep it original, SC/T or ***.
*Official Disclaimer* This is my opinion not a cheap shot at AAS because I own ***. I would actually rather have the SC/T kit over my ***, but it wasn't available.

I personally like the SC/T the best, but after seeing the AAS front on Pucci's car (in person) it's kinda growing on me...but i don't really like the rear of the AAS. *** isn't bad either....

If your getting this kit ASAP....I think your choices are narrowed to either AAS or ***!

for me, my choice is limited with the AAS or the ***. The SC/T kit is nice, but since my bumper is cracked, the front spoiler wouldn't help any and my rear bumper is scraped so knock out the SC/T kit. Im growing partial to the AAS, but im still siding on the *** right now.

***: First body kit to come out for our cars. Very aggressive and an instant attention getter. Its made out of fiberglass, and the way the bottom curves on the front are made, i've seen people have that part chip off from rocks and whatnot.
SC/T appearance package: Not exactly a body kit, but more of an appearance package to enhance the looks the GT already adorns. The chin spoiler is nice, i've grown to like it. Its made out of urethane, so it is the strongest of the bunch.
AAS..: Hideous. Destroys the car completely. Talk about makin fun of ricers? Ricers will be makin fun of you for tryin to be like them! lol

Hey man this is your car get what you like, but have you thought about mixing up the kits, plus RKsport will be out with one in less than 2 months (that is what they told me at least, but apc also said the tails would be out in october last year lol).
Well the SCT kit is a favorite by most people, but that might be a dealer option in the future (might be) so if you care a lot about that, it might not be the best direction to take.
The *** kit has gotten a bad rap from all the hard cores *** owners bashing everything under the sun other than that brand, but it is actually a great kit (do not let the people discourage you, just get what you like as far as looks). If you go *** be sure to get it all, since it looks best that way.
The kato kit is by far the most popular design, and I like the "in-style" look. The sides are awsome, and you can keep your GT side moldings or get rid of them too. That is a nice option. If you do not like the race grill look, then this kit might not be for you. The front and sides look great without it, but the back well you need to have it installed... Check out Salleens car he has pictures up on this section and his car looks amazing!
"I think" the Kato front and sides with the SCT rear bumper insert would be great! So my vote goes to Kato :)
But if this is not a must buy now, I would wait and see what rksport comes out with (when they do). I woulds hate to invest the money then see something else more your style appear a few weeks later...

What would this have to do with anything? Plus..the kit is not made by GM. So it will not be a "dealer option".

I will give my opinion, but I own ***'s kit so you might think me biased (sp). But oh well. I think *** because it is specifically designed for the GA. The fiberglass is stronger than any of the other kits. It has been proven.
I also love the SC/T kit. But its pretty pricey for add on lips. However it gives the GA a nice subtle agressivness and it was also designed specifically for the GA.
The AAS kit, has a great price. It will drasticlly change the lines of your car, which make's you look like you are attempting to turn your car into something it isnt. However like some have said its your taste. TO me the AAS doesnt belong anywhere near a GA. AAS has other designs that might have looked better. However for $989 cant really complain.
Good luck in your choices.

I agree with S_0 100%...damn PFYC for coming out with it a year too late! :p Still love the *** kit but in my "old" age (LoL) I'm in need of something a bit on the subtle side.
As for AAS...it's ok IMO but the sideskirts of the AAS are ASS. Haha...

well i can't believe what i saw today. I was on my way home from school and saw a civic with the exact same body kit as the AAS kit. That just changed my mind about the whole thing. It didn't look as good as the grand am in the pic. my vote it *** all the way. About the SC/T kit. It looks pretty good, but not my style, i want something more aggresive and i love the rear of the *** kit.

SC/T kit looks pur'fect. The whole 9 too, hood, chinspoiler, sides, and rear.
AAS looks great if you like to be trendy. I actually think the front is a awesome look. The rear needs a little help but sdtill a drastic change to the whole car.
*** Well lets see how I can put this nicely. It has clean lines, but looks to plan, dull and boring for a aftermarket body kit. Reminds me of the body kits I see people make in their garages. Bascially it lack imagination IMO.

well i have always like the *** the best, then the SC/T. but after seeing this AAS kit painted i have changed my mind a bit. $700 is an amzing deal. i could get this kit and a hood for the price of the ***. Second the front of the *** always looks like it is about to fall of....hanging there with that huge gap between the hood. All in all i have an SE, so i can't get the SC/T....*** im not sure if i want to save that long. So my choice is the AAS. Yes of course it needs about every hole on it molded but i think i would prob. do that....then get a full paint job, making the kit look amazing in my opinion.

I do not think so really. There is not much detail available.
All I have picked up from e-mailing them is that most of the product line should be out in the catalog in 5 weeks.
I recieved this last Monday:
"The 2003 catalog will have a few products for the 99-up G/A’s. It will be out in about 5 weeks"
And at the end of november last year they said they GA line will be out in about 3 months, so that would be in about the 5 weeks, so seems as though things are on track still.
from reading what others have posted they said things about a new hood, fx, and suspension components, but still no detail.
anyway in about 1 month we should all know more :) ok back to the topic (the awsome kato kit) :)
TO SAlleen since your thread got chopped up and locked I just wanted say it looks great! :)

RKsport does have some pretty nice body kits for the sunfire and cavalier. Maybe I'll wait a couple more months to see how the GA kit comes out. If not, then I think I've decided on the *** kit. Anyways, thanks to everyone for the helpful info on the body kits! Much appreciated!

I like the *** hood, but don't want the whole kit. I can't tell if it would still line up with the stock front end. Has anyone seen, or done this? Thanks

i think that without the *** hood, the body kit is just not enough. The hood brings it all together and i think the hood goes good with the lines on the front bumper
