Key won't turn

Ok so I go to start my car up this morning and the key won't turn at all. It goes in the ignition fine but it won't turn. So now I can't start my car. I'm thinking maybe I need to get a new set of keys cut, had the same keys since I got it in the summer of '00. I'm hoping thats it and theres not some ignition problems of some sort??

ok u lockeed your wheek you idiot...........j/k pull your wheel to the right or left and put on your turn signal to unlach the wheel and at the same time turn on your car. This happens to me alot considering i leave my doors open and my friend like to **** with my POS

I wish this was the case, but I can turn my wheel to the left and right, so I don't think its that. It does turn kinda stiff, like you gotta put some muscle into it to turn the wheel.

It may be frozen, happened to me in my Avenger since the doors had frameless windows, air would get in a lot easier and it would freeze, god do i love not having that problem anymore =)

sounds like a bad ignition cylinder. not the first time this has happened in a ga. gonna have to have it towed to a dealer probably:(

Same thing happend to me . They had to replace the ignition cylinder , which from what I was told , is something that usually has to be done by the dealer because it has some coding to it or crap like that . All I know is I called a bunch or local garages and none of them wanted to mess with it . Ended up costing me without including the tow 400 bucks . Hope you make out better .
