I have a '93 GA GT with the High Ouput Quad 4.
I bought the car 7 months ago, and it came with a "HyperTech Power Chip". It was not installed.

I installed it and used it for 2 days.
The problem happened after driving on the freeway for 15 kms or so (give or take) at about 130-135km/h average speed. I pulled into a gas station and my motor starts hesitating...so i give it some gas...but nothing. It stalls out and won't start up. I had a feeling it might be the chip, so i took it out and put back the factory chip. Still wouldn't start. Another 15 minutes or so, it starts up and everything is running fine. Almost like something needed to cool down.

Any help, advice, suggestions on what the problem may be would be GREATLY helpful and appreciated... thanx!

I think it is one of three problums: ignition modual, crank position sensor or cam position sensor. Most likely ignition modual quads seem to have problums with the ignition system alot. Im sure it isnt your chip so don't sweat that peace man! hope that helps ya!

Thank you for the reply.

It's also been suggested that it might be because I never reset the computer before installing the chip. I just plugged it in and went from there.

What do you think?
