grandam alarm goes off car wont start

my alarm is going off by itself without being activated by me and It wont let me start my car. what could be wrong?

What type of alarm (make/model) :confused:

Do you have a check what triggered it feature on your alarm system?

Do you have a battery back-up siren?

Any water on a hood pin switch?

Check for clean & tight battery terminal contacts.
Fully re-charge the car battery & check battery strength.

Worse case...set the alarm system in valet mode & pull the alarm brain's fuse out for like a day & get the car battery re-charged ->then re-install fuse & see what happens.

You mean triggering & sounding off or it turns off by itself?

If it is sounding off by itself after arming:
Does it happen like every 15 minutes?
If so check you haven't left a interior light on by mistake. If I leave a interior light on by mistake, the battery run-down protection feature flashes my interior lights then turn off -> which causes my alarm system to sound off thinking a door was opened.
