Ok Man I am all excited about the price drop on the hoods. :) thank you! But I have a question which I have asked a few times over the what seems like the past year. lol

Anyway I am really interested in that intake "in the works" that is mentioned on the site. IS this still in the works, like actully in the works? And if so will this be available before the end of the year? I know it is hard to give dates and info on products, but ithas been quite a long time, so I was just wondering.

Thanks....

I would assume that no it will not be out by the end of the year. I don't even know if it'll actually be made. I don't know details on anythign but I honestly wouldn't get your hopes up. They gave the general public what they wanted and so they'll probably just leave it at that. But hey what do I know? I honestly would recommend doing the CAI but it's all up to you bro. I'll support you in almost anything you choose.... haha

Dam that was fast. You posted right after I did. LOL.

Anyway no CAI on my car I want to keep her. lol. I just want to know what it will offer if it is a reality?

I just think the GAs with the RA all over them and if you added a hood that did not actually connect properly it would just look awful. I mean everyone at the shows woudl go "oh it is fake." lol. They do because I have said it a hundred time. lol.

Anyway anyone know about that or anything else they have in the works? They seem to be coming out with cool stuff.

I saw those grills they offer in person and OMG they are 10 times better than my gutter mod. lol. Very tuff, very perfect. bla bla bla.

I wish they would sell the apc tails too. I can not wait to get those. I mean who wants *** tails that have to be painted and asembled and there is not warrenty or garante they will fit right, work right or not leak. lol. anway..

What do you mean you want to keep your car so you won't put a CAI on it? I've had it for about 3-6 months now and absolutly no problems :)

As for the fakiness I agree. People would think it's too "Ricey" if you couldn't back up the hood w/functionality but meh I don't care. I'd just tell them if it would benefit me more than my CAI then I would :) have you thought about creating your own contraption for it? Take the lid off the airbox? I know a few have done it so I'm sure you just have to ask. Actually the guru might have it on his page with his mods. May want to look into that.

No reason to take the risk of driving in a flood for no difference in power. :) I mean the odds are slim, but it has and does happen, so I would rather jsut not worry about it. lol. I mean members on this board have sucked water in and memebrs in our club. So the risk is there... Besides if they do make a good RA intake then we get forced cold air. :)

What is this SD intake? Is thatthe one that is talked about on the website?

I wish I could get the local chop to produce the intake they are doing for me, since itwill work with the hood (If that intake is directly above theintake box). But the draw backis the filter cone isencloused and no fun sound. :( But you get the best intake.

Thanks all...

Eek. I hate misguided assumptions.

We ARE working on the intake. We just happen to be very swamped with work and very understaffed right now. We just bought in a new guy who will be working on your airbox as one of his very first tasks.

While I can't give you a timeframe on it, I would probably be inclined to fire him if it was NOT done by the end of the year ;)

That is good to hear. Ya I understand abot the deails to info and all. Just good to know it is still a possibility. Not that you guy really care, but The shop here that is doing one for me actually is a stereo shop. We are going to lay the ocnefilter in the bottom of th eoem box, then cover it with plastic and "pop it up like a tint" then lay down glass and resen until we make a cover. then with the plastic tucked into the oem bottom it wil lsnap right on. they are goin gto worry about how to make the sides that bolt and all. lol. I just gave them the idea and they said they coudl do it. I am not sure how molds work, but it might be a nice production and easy to make intake...

Spyhunter, and alero.. lol wrong topic. lol.
