alright, gotta question for all you tech people out there..
I know this idea is prolly lame, and i shouldnt bother.. but i will just cause im stubborn..
k.. what i have is a 95 gagt... now the problem is that the e-brake is on the floor.. damn pontiac and there silly ideas.. now.. 96's have e-brake next to the shifter.... so my idea..
take a 96 center concole, and put it into mine, and move the e-brake cables around, so everyrthig werks..
so could people tell me if its possible, and what i should do to start it up? thx all

Welcome to the board!
This is an interesting question. It seems likely that you could accomplish the fit of the next year console... You will probably not need to do much to accomplish the fit either... But the pre-99's are not my forte at all.
I would wait for Bszopi, or Aleroboy for their thoughts...;)

Yes I beleive that is possible. The 95 and the 96-98 are vey similar and I have had both. The tricky part would be getting a 96 console to work with your shifter or maybe it is the same also. The brake cable may need to be lengthend or shortend. The most you could do is try, I'm sure you can find a way to make it work with little trouble.

getting the console to match up would probably be the toughest part of the whole project. running the cable there would be easy.

spinzzzzz :D l o l.... if im bored and i wanna spin.. its so much more convientant (cant spell) just to pull the lever, than take my foot away from my clutch and put my knee around my ear, and stop the floor e-brake...
i donno.. i want something original, and real nice that i did myself to my car...
