well im new to the boards and love my ga...but i have the 16 inch stock rims on my se. I would like to buy some new ones like 18's or 17s that are 5 spoke or something cool. I have like 500 dollars to spend towards just rims, i already have more money for tires... i might have to go ebay style on these rims to get them cheaper, but please give me your recommendations. Also, if you have rims yourself, pictures would be appreciated. Thanks again guys.

Looks like we have another candidate for 18" Polished "Eagle Alloy 077" wheels. Look on eBay under that search string.
You want a 5x115 bolt pattern but will probably have to settle for 5x4.5(114.3). Tire size you will want is 225/40/18. Also going to need lugcentric lugs.
you should be able to get all this for about $1100. Probably the cheapest and best wheel you'll find for that budget.

Check out http://www.tirerack.com
You can see what different rims look like on your car. It lets you filter by size and finish so you can narrow the search. Great way to see what appeals to you.

Because it is a very simple design, made of alloy, and from an American company

what amraam said.. and there rotating pressure or load bearing (strength) is lower than others.. most of their rims are in the 1400-1600 rotating Lbs section where as other expensive much quality rims are 3000-4000. basically, they are just not as quality as others

if you look in the Sponsors News and Update section, under the SC/T body kit thread, on the second page you will see a description of wheel surface type and taking care of them.
Any aftermarket wheel should be taken care of, plus if you do get 18's I would not use them in the winter, especially polished.

i'd suggest looking around a local custom shop. they have sweet deals sometimes (i picked up chrome 18s and kuhmo tires for 1500 bucks), and possibly save up a bit more cash. then you can be original and not follow the path of the 'eagle owners'

yea i agree totally with jordan on this. you gotta make your car diffrent then everyone else. it may take a bit of time of saving but you will really enjoy them. i know i did once i got them on.

thanks for the responses,
well see i am only 17 years old and my dad said when i needed new tires..he'd pay for them. So my deal is only getting the rims. So i just need the price of rims and my dad would pay the rest.
You think i could find a good deal around charlotte, nc custom shops for 18's. Like around 500-600 dollars?

i was 17 when i got mine; go mow some yards, clean some old ladies' cars, get yourself a couple more dollars, then go check out some shops, and you'll find something. you're looking at paying like 125-150 for a wheel, which isn't too easy to find. get a couple hundred more...say 700-800 and you'll have TONS more choices to look at, although you could probably find something with what you have...you may not be totally happy with 'em.
