the background is going to be a blood red color, like a dark cherry.

uhm, try .. if you have ps7, try to select the inside of the font, then line fill, then use the blue/white/brown "metal/dessert" thing in the font, might look nicer

we did that in photoshop 7. and we wanted a chrome look with a color around the outside. and blues won't work with the background of our website.
