I installed the EBC Greenstuff pads and the $47 Brembo plain faced rotors on the front this weekend. The stock rotors had warped again, and my dealer would only re-surface them for a second time. He was going to charge me for the work and the new pads ($200)- even after I showed him the TSB. I just decided to go ahead with the Brembo instead of fighting it out further. I intalled them this weekend with the help of a friend.

The dealer also would not look at the tire issue (RSA noise TSB) until they could rule out the wear indicator possibly rubbing on the old pads. The noise did not go away, BTW. Of course, he was going to ignore the TSB and only clean/re-mount the tires.. not replace them.

I definately notice an improvement in brake performance. The Greenstuff pads have a good bit of bite. My only concern is their life as the info they send with the pads mentions a 10K-20K life on sport compacts. I hope they are way under-estimating or using a very aggresive driving style as their guide. I'll have to keep an eye on them I suppose.

Right now, I have a little bit of braking noise, but I assume that will go away once they are broken in. However, I do not think the brakes are any noisier than the stock setup always was for me... especially when the rotors were warped, scorned, etc.

The braking now is very smooth. Smoother than the day I bought the car. The car even seems to drive better/smoother, but maybe that's in my head... I dunno.

Brembo Rotors came from Tirerack - used UPS ground to get them in 2 days as per their helpful UPS chart.

Brake pads I got from www.brakesrus.com .

TireRack was out of stock when I ordered. I got this company from EBC's webpage. brakesrus' online ordering was down for upgrades or something, but they have a toll free number. I needed the pads in 2 days, and they gave me 2 day for the price of 3 day (saved $10).
