Well, in December we got Dunlop Sport A2's put on the GTP. Took it to the shop the other day when it had a weird rumble. They called and told us the alignment was messed up, so they were replacing all 4 tires since the alignment error was their fault. Got the car back and today I took it for a ride to see how the new wheels and alignment felt. I got a little aggressive with it, speeding down the road, and didn't really lay on the brakes, but gave it enough to haul it down to make a turn. Smelled a little pad burning, but didn't worry too much. Got home, and when I went back out an hour later, the rotor surface is blue! Whoops! Guess it's time for some aftermarket rotors! lol
BLUE?wtf .....thats kinda cool....

Yeah, but now I have an excuse to get him to buy Brembo's for it. :D
Put Brembo's on Sat.
Woke up this AM after a rain storm last night, and the face of my rotor was not covered in rust.

You may not have known it, but Matt (SilverGA2001) is actually a member of SEMA's "high stress auto parts test team". He's not abusing the car, just doing research!
Go get 'em Matt!

Brad ~ Do I get paid for this? Cuz I haven't seen a check yet... wtf
Nathan, your forgetting the 2 sets of stock rotors I destroyed on the GA, along with those pads. And my Performance Friction pads are damn near gone after 5,000 miles. lol
Matt-
Sorry, no pay, but think of the FAME you will achieve! All will stand in awe of you and the pile of broken parts that will adorn your garage... what a tribute ... kinda makes me a bit choked up. We all appreciate your sacrifice on our behalf in your research. I bet we could take up a collection at GAP 2003 for ya... probably could get you some caliper lube with the proceeds from all your fans? j/k!
Brad
;)
I know that I'm in BIG trouble now!
