what size fits better in front door of 2000 grand am gt1 the 5" 1/4 or 6"1/4 s please tell me

I am assuming the 5 1/4, but it is not hard to fit a 6 1/4. Plus a 6 1/4 will give you better sound. Thats the size speaker I have.

do i need adapters for the 6.25 like the 1 inch metra adapter

make a speaker ring outta MDF< then all you have to do is drill a tiny hole for a screw to go into the sheet metal of the door

You'll get a noticable difference in sound with the 6.5's over the 5.25, it's worth the extra effort.
