I have been searching and it appears that I cant hook the ps2 audio straight thru the stock cd player. And I am getting tired of replacing AAA's in my fm modulator. I'm kinda set on a cd player by pioneer. Any help on what model would be sufficent for both the ps2 audio and a basslink? Also, what is the piece called that would be needed to connect the ps2 audio to the new cd player.

So, someone send me down the right path b/c I am confused

pioneers have aux in, but you have to order a special plug that allows the input of them. Not sure how much they cost, but JVC makes one with two built in inputs, and i belive aiwa has one set of inputs.

I love pioneer just because I've used them for about 6 years now, and stick with premier lines. you get more preouts with higher voltage.

and i'm guessing you have a monitor in your car already? otherwise what would be the point of ps2 with sound only? if that's the case, pick up a dvd/cd player. those come with inputs as well.

wups, sorry, forgot to mention model number. if you can wait a few more weeks, WAIT.

Pioneer is putting out the DEH-P7500MP and DEH-P8500MP soon and these will have FAST Mp3 searching, 3 sets of preouts and all the pioneer goodies. the 7500 replaces the 7400 and has a white OEL display now, and the 8500 looks identical to the 8400 with the exception of more preouts. both will have 10 key remotes as well for faster mp3 browsing.

i'd recommend the 7500. The 8500 will have too many moving parts and although reliable, i've always had more problems with more moving parts... especially if their electronically controlled as with the 2 faced 8500

would this work? (http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-AM3ZA7ZuV0h/ProdView.asp?s=0&cc=01&c=11&g=50900&I=130CDRB10+)

I think that is what I would need. i searched a few sites and found out those cd players are gonna cost $380 and $400.

yeah, that thing'll work. Crutchfield has great customer service, but terrible prices... sounddomain has the 7500 listed at 279 but not yet available... ikesound should have them for even cheaper... but you lose your warranties with non authorized resellers.
