Why would he need a 75mm tb for a 3.4L???

I dont even think you can bore the intake on a 3400 to match the 75.5MM TB? Not to mention he shouldnt need that kind of flow for a long time anyhow I didnt even need an LS1 TB until making around 400 horse.. wierd..

You can't I seen the pics and he remade the whole front of the plenum.
he put on a new flange and had to build uf the front of the 3400 plenum to fit it.

What a waste of time. He doesnt' need that much air flow. It's probably just going to screw up his idle and air/fuel ratio. Unless he's running lots of boost or a monster NA engine that's bored/stroked and running a big cam, there's no point.

too big of an tb can and probably will yeld a power loss . and I think with that tb he is definatly doomed. I was reading a story the other day in a hot rod mag where pat (muisie or how ever you spell it) was building a stroker out of an ls1 and he did some major moding, there was a clip in there that said there wernt any after market tb's for the ls1 but with 800 cfm of flow from the factory unit they would not need one any ways. and he was thaking about a 550 hp stroker!!!! wtf

Actually bbk does make a larger one but its hard to find.
when I was at the dyno last there was a ZO6 with a 427 stroker in there that had the larger unit. it was layign down 498hp at the rear wheels. if thats not enough it also has a 300 shot of nitrous!!
it would push it up to 798 rwhp.
talk about sick!

That is a little overboard I think. I am waiting for my APOC TB to come in but even then, I am not all that convinced that it will help the 3.4s all that much.

The MAF on the other hand...........
