View Full Version : For those who bought Zaino ZFX
I have all my Zaino from last year, I figured I'd buy the ZFX so I don't have to spend 4 days waxing my car. I noticed it comes as only 2 milli liters. Do you just drop one drop into a bottle of Z2 and Z5? Then shake the bottle up or do you have to mix it outside the bottle?

It comes with 4 1 oz little bottles. You put the Z2 or Z5 into it, the drops of ZFX, shake the crap outta it, then apply away, without the 6 hours wait time.
Can't remember how many drops off the top of my head, 3 sound familiar, but its written on the box it came with.

They come in ounces? The website said ml but I thought that was pretty small.

ZFX bottle is pretty expensive. That Zaino crap rips you off. they could easily just add that stuff into the original mixture but they sell is seperate and screw everyone over....that a pretty good business for yah right there. Makes me not wanna buy anything from them...but after looking at a Zaino'ed camero...i think i might have to:D/:(

It may be expensive, but considering the time I spent waxing last fall its well worth it. My car was in the garage for about 4 days because the temperature was low and I had to wait 24 hours between coats. I think the 20 bucks for the zfx is worth me getting to use my car during those days.

Sorry, but you're totally wrong! Why? Because the ZFX is an accelerator. After 12 hours the mixture breaks down and you can not reuse it, nor the bottle it was stored in. So, unless you plan on Zaino warping it to your house and you being there ready to take it up the ass and start right away, it aint gonna happen...
So far nothing beats zaino... It's been raining 3 days here and I zainoed my windows last week. Normally Rainx would be gone by now, but the zaino is still beading like a champ... So if it can withstand being on a window where a wiper keeps rubbing on it and lasts, just think about how long it lasts on a surface that doesn't get near the amount of rubbing...
Edit: BTW for 1 oz (half the bottle) you have to add 3-5 drops, for the full 2oz you need 7-10 drops, but do not exceed 10 drops!.

I have no idea what that means
but regardless
someone needs to explain something to me...Zaino isnt a wax, but it still protects like a wax? Is it the mulitple coats that are used that form the protectant on the car?
I was told that Z1, Z5 and Z6 is enough to give you that Zaino shine. However, it seems to me that the true shine achieved by Zaino is done by the fact that you are doing coat after coat after coat of this stuff. If im wrong, then you should be able to get the shine you want just by using 1 coat right?
I plan on buying Zaino i just need someone to clear this up for me

What did I mean? You'd have to teleport the product to your house, and be ready to use it right away. There is no way you're gonna fed ex the product in 12 hours!
Okay, Here's the deal:
Zaino is a NON-ABRASIVE Polish. It can not be considered a wax because it has no wax in it. Wax has fine particles that will scratch the surface of the car. Zaino has none of those things and WILL NOT scratch the surface.
One coat of Z2 or Z5 will outlast 1, 2, maybe even 3 coats of wax!
Example: I used Maguires, Turtle Wax, Liquid Glass, and Mothers wax before. They all lasted about 2-3 weeks max! This was summer time!
Now, this past November I applied 2 coats of Z3 (For Regular Paint Finishes) and it lasted up until two weeks ago when I reapplied. Now, you have to understand that my car was washed a total of 3, maybe 4 times in that 3 month period and had road salt sitting on my finish for over 3 weeks at a time! So, that right there should tell you how well it holds up! Wax would last a week if you're lucky!
Note: This is my own personal experience. I did not take this from a website, I put in my own experience!
Now, back on track! So, we already know that one coat of Zaino will outlast any wax out there, but why multiple coats? You apply multiple coats because the more you put on the more it will shine! One coat shines pretty well, about the same if not a little more than your ordinary wax; however, multiple coats make the paints finish look deeper and wetter, and help protect the finish better. It will last longer and shine better.
You must Z6 between every coat to achieve the best shine. It has antistatic properties and creates a deeper shine. Don't ask me how...it just does!
