i know its kind of pricey, but if i had them wash, wax, and polish my car, is it safe? should i check to see if they use something that will harm the paint or finish? its like 80 bucks i think, maybe less for them to do that all, and it usually lasts around 3 or 4 months. is it better then doing it by hand, or is it the same thing, just for people who dont wanna do it themselves. thanks

depends, ask what products the use, etc.
In the spring, I bring my car to get the INTERIOR professionally done, I do the ext myself.

Spend the time and do it yourself if ya can. Those jobs are usually pretty good if you take it to a decent place, but the satisfaction from doing it yourself is much better in my opinion. Plus at home you can use anything you want and be as particular about it as you want, there they will just wax and run, get as many cars in and out as possible.

you have to think of this. the person that is going to wax your car isnt gonna car about it as much as you do! when i wax my car i know what places i need to wipe the excess wax from and i know all the little things about my car! i trust almost no one with my car i was freakin out when i took my car to meineke mufflers to put on my new muffler and custom bend the pipes i was like out in the install bay watching them. its just how i am with my car

do NOT get your car polished, the body shop that did my car polished it, the SWIRL MARKS, GOD they finally came out and its a year later... i waited till the polish all but faded out to wax it... the guns they use spit the wax into every crevase, god i hate it... just do it yourself its worth the time/effort

I agree with you Mr_eh I hate people around my GT! Thats why I park 80 miles away from everyone all the time! I get my GT waxed( Liquid glass ) Is there a difference between liquid glass and wax? I would do it myself but my wax guy does an awesome job everytime he is great. He is the only one I trust around my baby. One time I was at my dealer and one of the service guys was leaning on my GT I was ready to take a 2 by 4 and kick his a**. It's like the guy could careless that I was standing right there, mabye I over react but like Mr_eh said it's just the way I am about my baby.
