6x9's

ok, on the stock 6x9's, which one is the the positive and negative? I gotta splice in some wires and dun't know which one is which, is it color coated? like black universally being blacck and all? THanx for the help... again...

6x9's are the back ones right? casue that's what Im talking about, the back two speakers on a 99 gt.

so you mean those are the colors that are coming directly out of the two 6x9's in the back? cause i'm gunna splice the wires right there in the trunk cause it''s closer to the bass tube I'm hooking up.

the validity of the colors im not sure ive never looked i guess i could run to the garage and look.

im guessing that you have the monsoon system......and if so if you look in the trunk on the drivers side if you pull down the trunk matting there is a factory 2x25 amp....this is the best place to tap into the wires......and just cut a small hole in the matting where you want you wires to come and your all set.....the wire you ne to tap in to are.......

i just hooked up an amp in my buddys gt using this method...its alot easier and all your work will be hidden behind the trunk matting...all you have to do is cut a small slit in the matting where you want the wires to come through..........only get your audio source from here....the rest of the wires for power and such will not carry the load required to run an amp or whatever...you must run seperate power ground and remote wires. from the battery and fuse box
