I have the '99 GAGT wheels(non-chrome) and have a stained discoloration on my fronts and not the rear. I called a detailing place and they said they "couldn't disclose their products" but they would clean them. I've tried several ways myself to get them clean and nothing will get the discoloration out. Anyone had this or know of a strong product?

i just used mothers cleaner wax on our rims and it cleaned all of the stains off. and these were very persistant stains from the horrible winter we had that wouldn't be touched with simple washing. so give a cleaner wax a try if you haven't.

I use something orange. I forget the name of it but you can get it at Pepboys or any other auto parts store. Works very well and get most of the dicoloration and grime off. I also use a small wheel brush to get in all the corners.

You could use some Simple Green but you risk loosing the clear coat. I used it all the time on my old aluminum wheels. After you clean them follow up with a clear coat cleaner and then wax for protection.

Yeah I've tried the Orange Blast stuff, Meguires wheel cleaner, and a few others. Plus the aluminum and metal polish. Thanks for mentioning the clear coat stuff, noone of the several people I asked said anything about it. I've always been getting stuff that is for aluminum wheels, even if they are alloy and not solid aluminum. I've seen the clear coat cleaners/polishers but didn't even know that's what the wheels are. Supposedly there is a guy in town here that could make my wheels look like the '00 to '02 machined chrome wheels. I don't know if that's possible but those wheels do have that extra edge when I see others driving around with them.
