Uhm, it doesn't matter who installs it, it's still an aftermarket part and voids your intake warrenty, which as far as I'm concerned isn't a big deal; but if a bunch of water is sucked up through it into your engine and it seizes up, you're basically on your own.

Sema act says you can add all the aftermarket stuff you want without voiding your warranty. The only way it will void the warranty is if it causes damage to something.

IE: when i sucked water up in my CAI. I didnt get alot in there, but they cleaned everything out for 70 bucks. My upper intake mani gasket went too. But that was covered under warranty. I dont think they could prove that the water caused that to fail though so thats why it was covered :)

so if i go in to get a new gasket put in on the intake mani, they won't look at the cai and say that i cant' do it under warranty?
