Should I Sell?? For an...........

The opportunity has present itself for me to sell the GA. Someone has offered me $17,500 for it and I just so happen to receive a call that very same day (yesterday) that the new Lancer EVO is arriving any day at a dealership where I threw down $100 on one. The GA is paid off and I think the Lancer is $32,000 so I would only have to finance around $15,000 for the Lancer OR fianance $20,000 and do $5,000 in mods right from the get go.

What should I do?? Is the Lancer worth it?? HELP:confused:

Go for the Lancer EVO. Can't go wrong with 275 hp, all-wheel-drive, massive brakes, tight suspension, stickey tires, Recaro seats, and limited slips all around. Not to mention they look SOOOO damn bad-ass.

It's a 99' with 80k, the motor has been redone, the tranny redone, the body redone, every single engine mod you can imagine besides SC, and not to mention the kit, spoiler and CF hood (few days). The car attracts people like flys to **** in my area. It's looks better than any car around my area and the guy who wants it has more money than god, and really doesn't care about $17,500. It's more like $1750.00 to him. Hell I even tried to get him to trade me his 2002 Audi S4 straight-up BUT then he wants the CF Hood mold so he can mark those up and sell them.

I almost want to take this in stride and blow him off for another year until I really decide to get rid of the car. It's not like the car gets driven anymore either.........in the last year since the motorwork I have driven a total of 1772 miles, that was for meets in Detroit for DHP and Chicago for a regular meet. The car stays stored.

thats a very hard choice, you have one of the nicest grand ams, but 17k man... f a lancer :) turbocharge the crap out of your integra ;)

...i dont think you can put a price tag on something you've invested that much time into until you are ready to sell it, but its up to you, its a very hard choice i dont think i could make unless the opportunity presents itself,and calling it anopportunity is just that, you also have to realize if he is rich he isnt going to enjoy the car for what it is, he's gonna abuse it and throw it away, i dont think i could stand to see my car done like that after putting in all the work....

all in all i'd say keep it because you are just going to miss it once you get rid of it...

but... 17k... can get a nice used supra, rx7, yadda yadda i'll shut up now :) you are gonna have to weigh the pros and cons out yourself home fry

I am not getting rid of the car for a while now. I am probably going to keep it until next year and then find a new ride, kinda looking at the RX-8.........mmmmmm.

I can always get a Lancer on down the road after the first year works it's new model bugs out.......

RX-8 is sweet as hell. Its so hard to pick a car now a days. The WRX came out, and everyone who is anyone bought one, and now look, EVO8 is out now and will crush WRX's. And now the STI is coming soon to crush the EVO8. GEeesh feel sorry for the original WRX owners. And now we have the damn Neon SRT-$, a damn near 13 second car, more like a damn near 13 second STOCK NEON!! NEON!!! the commercial car that used to say HI and have teddy bear's for hub caps. I mean a $19k CAR TURBO CHARGED AND INTERCOOLED RIMS, PAITNED CALIPERS, AND RACING SEATS.

Its so hard to choose! ANd now the new GA's coming with more HP. The GTO. Fuk how do you pic anymore???

Its kinda actually taking teh fun away from tuning, I know that sounds stupid, but I dunno, these cars are so ****ing fast factory, its rather taking the fun out of taking a car like a NEON and making it hella fast. I dunno. Im getting a truck to pull my GA's around to show's when I get a new car. A nice crew cab, black Silverado Z71, with a nice lift. Ill be happy.

I'd trade your car for the S4 and give him the mold. S4's are awesome. Now THAT is a deal you can't pass up. Sure you want the mold for everyone on the board, but at the end of the day we all have different lives have to look out for number one. You live with yourself 24/7. Get what you want.
