I really need to get my passenger side spring aligned properly. It was the first wheel I took off an did, and I didnt watch how it was seated. It rattles all the time. Very annoying. The strut tower actually bent the part on my Strut tower bar that is bolted on!!! Its not too bad, but its definately not good. I really need a picture of the stock assembly(or gr-2s) in the correct seating.

Also, I ordered the front and rear struts from partsamerica.com, and the rear ones didnt fit!!! what the heck. I'm pretty sure the part number is right. Can somebody verify? 334229, and 334230 right? Here is a comparison pic of my stock rears, and GR-2 rears. The GR2 says 334230 on it. Thanks,:rage:

not good enough. I had previously looked at those. Not very good pics of where the springs sit. I did neglect to note that I had seen those though.

uhhh, just take the assembly out and keep turning the spring till the end of it is past the notch at the top. once you have that done it will be seated correctly at the bottom also.

past the notch?? I thought it was supposed to go up to the notch.
Is it supposed to gopast the notch, or is this a typo?

The end of the bottom of the spring should be lined up in the notch on the bottom spring perch. Since the eibach springs have different length and number of coils the top of the spring doesn't end up in the same place as the stock springs. If you put them back together with the top plate facing the way it does when mounted in the car then it should be fine though. The only problem I've noticed with this is it makes my rear springs creak when I go over a big bump.

If this problem bent something on your strut tower brace though, I would be suspicious that there might be something else in the suspension that is bent or otherwise damaged. Better have it checked by a professional if you're not sure.
