papio, I was busy all day with the cars but did a quick search. I found alot of wheel spacer sales but not specifically for what you need. Keep trying search engines for "wheel spacers" Also, call Tirerack & Discount Tire and just ask them a question about them. They might have them, or at least could point you in the right direction.

Tirerack gave me 5mm spacers for my rear wheels. I'm sure they would have bigger ones.

god,, a one inch wheel spacer? now if im thinking right, doesnt a wheel spacer fit iver the existing lugs? our lugs arent that long. that doesnt give much bite on the lugs for the lugnuts huh? also, at one inch, that would bypass the hub all together so the entire weight of the car is resting on only the lugnuts... wtf ... i too would like some if none of the above is true

the spacers go between the wheel hub, and the inside of the wheel. With the aftermarket wheels I put on miy rear, the wheel offset wasnt quite right. I think 40 instead of 38? so there was a 2mm gap, that needed to be filled, or the wheels just rattled around. SO, I asked Tirerack why they didnt fit when they said they would. I told them what I thought was wrong, and they sent 2 of them priority mail to my door the next day. Along with another lug nut, since they sent me 19 @ 2.50, and 1 @ 2.25.

1 inch is definitely too much.
As for Collin's issue, the wheel spacer did not solve the rattling issue. Offset has nothing to do with rattling & fitment...but rather it would cause problems with clearance and rubbing on brakes and/or struts & springs.
P.S. I guess rattling would come into play if it was caused by clearance issues (i.e. wheel/tire rubbing on something). But from your post it seemed like you were referring to the hub fitment rattling.

the reason i brought this up is because at a recent show there was '94 mustang 5.0 there and it had aftermarket 18's w/ a 1" wheel spacer and it looked really cool. he said it's a type of thing where it fits on the hub over the stock lugnuts then has bolts of it's own sticking out for the wheels lugs to fit over. i found a site that supposedly can custom make them for me. who knows. i will look around a little more and respond. this is the site that would make them for me and they would look something like these:

I'm definately not sure if what I said was right. Thats why i used a question mark. I just thought I'd share my experience on a related topic. The inside of the wheel, and the flat part of the hib did not contact correctly on my car. Because of a very long centering ring on the wheels. I needed the spacers to fill this gap, and make them fit snuggly. They did rattle, and now they dont.

Collin, I think you might be thinking of a hubcentric ring.

yeah, ok thats the term, but centering ring also describes the part well, but i know the centering ring is the plastic piece that fits into the hubcentric ring. Anyways.... Case closed.

I am very positive the answer is "NO". I have not read it, or experienced it, but thinking it over doesn't seem like it is acceptable.
