Theres a local gas station that sells 110 octane gas and i was considering blending it with some premium. Probably like 3 gallons of the 110 and the rest with 93. Their 110 gas isn't leaded or anything like the cam2 fuel thats available. Would this be a good idea? Are there any problems that would arise from doing this?
Thanks Pat

I do not see why that would cause any problems.
You don't always use same octane gas everytime you go to gas station. It will be same as that.

Why? This isnt going to give better performance. It's not even recommended to put premium in GA's. 87 works fine. I know some boats take 110.

we run 110 in the race car, but its built for that, runs really hot, at constantly at 7000 rpm+ I don't think it would give you any advantage Pat, may even hurt more then good.

Theres no reason to be using it, even us boosted guys arent running that high of octane, and we have a lot of power going through our engines.

What they said.
I've read that running a higher octane than the engine needs will increase emmissions also.

select mobile stations around here called turbo blue, its 114 octane i think..ive ran it before, its like 4 something a gallon, i run when im on a 1/4 tank i fill up 3 gallons the rest 93, does a good job cleaning out the junk in the engine, and nothing beats the smell of it from ur exhaust:) and it does give u some nice power for a bit

Yes, and to the best of my knowledge, it is also leaded, so watch those O2 sensors go, along with the cat if you run it a few times. I watched my buddy use it in his racer this weekend, and I am pretty damn sure it is leaded. Just lookin out for ya! ;)

i dont think it is cause the pump said unleaded on it
Cam 2 is leaded. It wil do damage to your sensors.

When DHP tuned my car they said that it is necessary that i run premium fuel or they said my car would run like ****. So i figured that blending a little bit of this gas would help me to get the most out of their tuning. And i wouldn't be doing this all the time either.

If you are sure it is unleaded try it and see.

What have you got in your car that needs premium? is it supercharged?
No the DHP most likely advances the timing a bit. SO you need to run 91+ or you will detonate.
