(Mods, this should stay in anything goes because no one ever posts in sports section)
For all you NFL draft junkies this years 2003 Draft is just around the corner.............
State your favorite team and who you think they will pick, realistically. You can also add your fantasy pick, who you would love to have on your team............explanations and debates are welcomed.
My Team............Green Bay Packers, 29th Pick Overall.
I am thinking given the teams draft history with Sherman at the helm he will go get what he needs instead of waiting around at 29 for a player they really didn't want. My pick he trades up and picks Georgias Boss Bailey or Cal's Kyle Boller. Sure it may cost him a 2004 2nd or 3rd rounder but who cares, Boss Bailey is a can't miss, and Boller is a big guy with wheels, and a cannon, and a level head, that doesn't come along very often.

Same here I can't really stand sports there are many people that like it but I just can't seem to stay at home on the weekends and watch them throw a ball around, plus they are way overpaid:boogie:

My team would also be the Packers. unlike everyone else who has posted; I love sports. Football is the third best sport ever invented... right behind golf and sex  Anyways... i never follow the draft real closely.. but i know that last season, the secondary pretty much sucked arse. I think they'll go with someone on the defensive side for the first pick. Hopefully this year the team doesnt have a gazillion injuries. I think they will do well again this year, especially with sherman runnin the show

I've been a Tampa Bay fan since I was born, and I can't believe those stupid bastards are thinking of getting rid of Warren Sapp. He's by far the best defensive tackle in the league, and instead of winning another Super Bowl at Tampa, he's gonna go to Cincinatti and be on a team with a loosing record.

Works for me, the guy is a prick. Stick him out in purgatory. There was a rumor cincy might trade the first pick to TB for Sapp.

Even you as a TB fan have to admit he is kind of a prick. The hit on Clifton was a little over the top. His actions afterwards were also uncalled for. He does get a little carried away at times.........nevertheless, I don't despise him, his choices of actions are just somewhat childish.

RAIDERS, and I dontk now too much about teh drafting ****, but they need to get some better safeties. BUCHANON is coming back, a healthy woodson, we were looking at Seau but dont know what happened with that.

I don't think he's a prick at all. He knows he's the best in the business and he's not afraid to let people know it. And as far as the Clifton thing goes, the hit might not have been necessary, but it was by no means a cheap shot. I've been hit further away from the ball and straight in the back too many times to count but it's just part of the game. A real man would have gotten up after the hit and kicked major ass on the next play. The coach got what he had coming. You can't run around bad mouthing these guys if you're not out there with them. A football field is the second most violent environment right after a battle field.

warren Sapp is by far the most over rated player in the NFL. He talks a great game, but rarely plays one. He had a good year this past year, but who would'nt with a defense like that behind you.
Zakkwylde, how in the h*ll did you expect Clifton to get up after that hit, he was completely unaware the hit was coming, wake up and learn the game.
Anyway, my team is the Denver Broncos and I would like to see them draft Mike Doss, a DB out of Ohio St. We really need help at that position and he is an amazing cover man. If we dont get him its ok cause we look good this year with the additions of Jake Plummer and Daryl Gardener.

lol, best in the business my ass. He's an overrated loudmouth who enjoys having his face on TV. As for a real man would have gotten up after the next play, that's kind of hard when the cheap shot blows out his hip and threatens his career. But like you said, it's easy to talk when you're not out there. Kind of like saying he should just get up and deal with the sprained hip, right?

I'm a NY GIANTS fan.
Over the summer the Giants rebuilt there special teams and now they need to draft some defensive lineman in the draft. I know they have their eyes on suggs but IMO he isnt worth it.
This year could be the year for the Giants, if there defense can get it going that is...

I am pretty convinced the Detroit Lions are going to gun for Charles Rodgers from Michigan State. Not my choice, but then again from the previous couple years the Lions management has shown nothing but bad decision making. Mariocci or not, Lions will still stink!

There is talk that the Raiders will take Ken Hamlin out of Arkansas. My Hogs are known for their hard hitting safeties (Steve Atwater/Kenoy Kennedy) and Hamlin is the next one.

My team is the NY Jets, and after gettin assraped by the Redskins... we have a million holes to fill.
My picks...
either package the 2 1st round pick together to move up to 5 or 6 (Dallas or Ravens) and get DT Dewayne Robertson if he's still there, or keep 13 and pick Boss Bailey at that spot. If we keep 13, we should also consider the CB Newman... even though he might not play this season, he's a future susperstar.
with the 22nd overall pick, we should take kelley washington if he's still there.

Real man would of gotton up???? There was quite a bit of broken stuff after that hit. I know it wasn't a cheap hit but it was kinda unnecessary. Ill try to find a link for you on all the torn muscles and rehab. Sapp makes enough smart comments to make himself look like a retard anyway

Sapp is way over-rated. He and Meshawn should keep their huge traps shut, because they're both way overrated.
