I've never had this problem before, but so far this spring my car seems to be running hot ocassionally. like 220-225 degrees. It wasn't hot outside like 50-60 and i wasn't stuck sitting in traffic or anything. Any ideas?

Cause

The radiator filler neck may have an imperfection in the sealing surface.

Correction

Important: DO NOT REPLACE THE RADIATOR.

take off your oil cap and see if there is a froth on the underside of it. If you chocolate milk, report back.

OK, simple check list, try in order, checking results after each. Flush radiator. Clean out any leaves. Make sure cooling fans work. Replace radiator cap with NEW one. Replace thermostat possibly with 180*. Perform TB coolant bypass. Check and/or replace water pump. Replace radiator and coolant lines.
