Well, alot of things have been happening lately.
My SC/T kit and GT mirrors are sitting in my dad's shop waiting to be prepped and painted. After much deliberation and hesitiation, i've decided to go through with it, but there have been some recent "family problems" which has caused some delays on my project. As far as the car, I recently installed a APOC CAI, Front Strut Tower Brace, the DRL kit by Kent and Mike, and a Lotek 3-Gauge Pod with Auto Meter Sport Comp Air/Fuel Ratio, Vacuum, and Oil Pressure gauges! Thought i'd leave a few personal comments on these mods as well.
APOC CAI- I'm very much impressed by the quality of the kit and how easily it is put together. I absolutely love the increase in volume and performance i've experienced and it is definately a nicer touch to my intake as opposed to my open cone! Sounds absolutely gorgeous and I've had witnesses and video tapes to prove that it sounds amazingly loud and muscular! I've had so many people ask what Exhaust I have and I'm like.."None man, just an intake"
Front STB- I know alot of people say it doesn't do much, and my dad was like "No way its going to help at all, its all in your head". We did a neighborhood s-curve to test and my tires did not chirp at all! Instead, it stuck to the road and held its line the entire way through the neighborhood. *Note* DO NOT TEST IN A NEIGHBORHOOD *End Note*
DRL Kit- I seriously have to hand it to the guys, Kent and Mike. It was a huge liberty to get to meet these guys back in the winter and hear/see all the work they had done to develop these kits, but it was an entirely different experience to install one of these kits myself! Granted, I had the expertise of AaronGTR, Jeff (GTManiac) and Alex (vipergts500hp). It was absolutely amazing and the kit works flawlessly and I want to give them a huge thanks! So if you ever decide to go with the DRL Kit, you are making a wonderful investment. It will save yout the headache of DRL's in the future tied into HID's if you ever get em, and its just a sweet way to roll with no lamps during the day!
Lotek 3-Gauge Pod and Gauges- At first I thought this was going to distract the hell out of me, but I absolutely love it! I hardly ever look at it but I love the looks I'll get when people roll up next to me and stare inside my car at my air/fuel gauge moving back and forth and the vacuum gauge shooting forward when I hit the gas and rev! Totally recommend getting one either to monitor your engine or just look cool! Great mod!
I'll keep ya guys posted every so often if I ever get my SC/T kit installed and get all that stuff taken care of!
