Airbag problems on Grand Ams

Did any of you heard on the news this morning about the air bag problems on the Pontiac Grand Am,

I did not get all of it but it seams that the airbag modul on some Grand Am's is under the passenger's seat and if it comes in contact with water or get corroded it could deploy the air bags

I only heard some parts of the story!

If any of you heard about it, I need more info

I'm pretty sure the airbag computer is under the front seat in all models. I dont know the specifics on the story but the module records quite a bit of info, throttle applied, speed, adn brake applied. So if you get in a accident and the airbags deploy they can get a search warrant pull the computer and find out how fast you were going before impact.

Yep sure is under the passenger seat.. Noticed it while I had my carpet out this past weekend, and also my entire passenger side was soakin wet too.. goin in to get that fixed in 2 weeks
