How fast does ur grand am go?

alright here's my question I've got my 2000 grand am gt to 197km an hr. Who has maxed out their car and at what speed.

haha well this questions been asked before, basically the governer kicks in around 130 miles per hour, so if you have ANY straight roads around then most have hit that, except those lucky few with chips and good tires

Actually the governer in the grand am is set at 190 km/ph. Most GM vehicles is around 170-190 . The first time i wound mine out it topped out at 190, then ever since then its gone between 200-220 depending on the temperature outside at the time. Still hasnt got upto my old camaro speed of 245 lol... maybe someday

Speedometers are notoriously prone to incorrect reading past 150 kph so what was shown on the speedometer realistically wasn't the speed you were actually doing.

ahh yah never know, i was rippin at like 5500 rpms almost redline lol At 120kmph it sat around 2 grand in the rpm dept. once i hit around 190kpm my car sounded like a nascar haha. Good ol Horsepower and 3" Dynomax Exhaust

Fastest I've had my GT up to is about 215 on the 407, but that was before I put my 17s on.

I tried on the 2-4 weekend but I only got up to about 190, but I was driving into a pretty stiff headwind.

Meh... I don't really care anymore. I don't think I'll be trying any top speeds runs anymore. I'm trying to become a cop and I don't think getting pulled over for going 200+ would look very good. :p

I have tried many times to see how fast I can make her go. The fastest so far has been 180 before kicking out. This has been done along the 417, 416 and the 401!:D
