I changed the title of this and moved to the detailing section so you will get more help..
IIRC there is a great thread on cleaning exhaust tips, if you can't find it, let me know.
I use that blue jello stuff, I forget what it's called, you'll see it in the area of Nevr-Dull in the cleaning products section at the store.. works great

I noticed that you said IIRC in this message... what does that mean because I have no clue what your talking about when you say that there is a good thread here. Please explain more.
Thanks,

Seth you liked that stuff told you it was great. You can get it in any car store comes in a little plastic can with a blue top. Works great, don't smell it though...harsh on the nose hairs.

Use chrome polish... It doesn't matter if it's SS or not, I believe on the package they say you can use it on other metals as well. I'm not positive on that, but I've used it before and it works fine!

Best stuff ever is Nevr-Dull wadding polish. It is now sold under the Eagle One brand, but is also available in the original brand. It is the "Zaino" of metal polishes!! You can get it at any auto parts place. Try it you will be happy!

Gator, is that the stuff that's basically got a cleaning oil in cotton, and you rip pieces off and clean with it? If so, that stuff is the god of all chrome polish :)

Well I'm glad I know who makes it now... I inherited the stuff my dad had, but didn't want to use it all. I didn't think it was still made. I swear the stuff he had is at least 10-15 years old :) hahah
P.S. Where can I find that stuff at, and what's Eagle One marketing it as?

It is still called NEVR-DULL and I got it at a local Shucks Auto Supply (Kragen or Checker in some areas)

You can check to see if a store in your area has it.

They're affiliated with Advanced Auto, so I'm in luck... Hopefully they carry the product, otherwise I'll just have to order online. Thanks Gator!

ya ive used that before on my old stock tips, but it left a bunch of white residue on the tips, and i would think thatd itd be too gritty to use on ss tips, that it would scratch them up

Yeah, actually it does, and FYI stock tips are SS too, just not polished.

What are you referring to? Just curious, cuase Nevr Dull is oily, not very gritty. The key is to buff it off pretty quick after application and it really shines!
