I have been fighting this problem for over a year now with my 2001. I have taken it to 2 damn dearlerships, neither of which could diagnose the issue. The car has the problem until the day I take the damn thing in for service.

I am pretty sure it is the fan blower resistor I have read about in these forums. From time to time the AC will not get much air out of the dash vents no matter what fan setting you have it on.

Any and all help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks

Theres not really a TSB or recall, but repair instructions are on these forums. Apparently the part is cheap and it's an easy fix. Let me know if you can't find it.

Ice,

Thanks man, I had already seen the instructions. I was just more of a "principle of the thing" kinda thing. They where just really ****ing me off by not fixing it.

When the resistor goes, it is gone. Usually no fan speed 1 or 1&2 or 1&2&3. Your description makes it sound like the blower is working, you just do not think enough cold air (or cold enough air) is coming out. That wouldn't be the resistor issue. Sounds like it is possible the air doors might be hanging up inside the dash.

thats more or less it. It did it again last night on the way home from work. You can hear the fans working really hard in the back ground but there is just a complete lack of air coming out. The other weird thing is that when I put it up on 5 there was condensation coming out of the dash vents. I don't know if that was because it had just gotten pretty hot in the car at that point or something else wrong.
