i figured i would leave a thread on a possible future problem for my fellow ga'ers out there.... i had my catalyic covter stopped up on me @ 120,250 miles.. it wasnt like most where you start to get a hesitation mine was all at once... so if you get a sudden loss of performance/ go speed then your catalyic convter may be stopped i spent 85.00 to have the dealer look at it to tell me that.. they also told me that the reason for the failure was due to a clogged fuel filter.. which was weird cause i replace my filter about every 10,000 miles... but oh well i could've died when they told me it was gonna cost 895.58 to replace the converter.. :o
so now i have a new performance mod which is a gutted out converter which did do a nice performance job for the car... the ses light hasnt came on yet which is good but for anyone else that is out there having a moving problem with there car you might wanna have to cc. checked out.. it may be clogged..

For the price of the GM OEM catalyic converter, Random Technology High Flow Catalytic Converter (http://www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PFYC&Product_Code=GA5003&Product_Count=1&Category_Code=GAEXH) seems like a bargain...(if your cat. went after the emission warrenty ran out).

Your lucky, we have tail-pipe emission testing every 2-years to re-new our licence plates.

IMO, if you got the $$$; I would get a Random Technology High Flow Catalytic Converter.
I'm guessing that would be better for the environment ;)

it can be done easily, he could have bought it used from a salesman or something that was a very early 2002 model, hell my dads caravan was 2 years old when we traded it in, and it had 130k miles on it, and my dads new envoy already has 8500 miles on it, and its only 2 months old
