Okay I totally hate waiting for pistons, throttle bodies, and intakes. It's this really trying process that makes your patience wear really thin, but you know you can't do anything about it until they get here.
I duno if some of you know but my motor has been having some problems of the self exploding kind. I stopped driving the lil guy, and have him sitting in the garage waiting for all the parts to show up. I'm pretty much "freshening" up the motor so it won't annoy me as much.
Here's the list of things that will be done once I pull this sucker out.
lower the compression slightly from 9.7:1 to 9.5:1 w/ some custom JE pistons
replace the connecting rods with the Eagle equivalent.
replace all the bearings w/ clevite 77 engine bearings
have some sex w/ the crank and have it ready to do my evil bidding back on the road again.
balance the rotating assembly
install a 2.3ho style intake
have FDP/APOC 62mm t/b mated to that very same intake
hack my aem intake to be up to the task
tap my oil pan for an oil line to something special in the near future
finish the wiring on my MSD DIS-II box and have it mounted in a safe place
while the car is down:
change out the tan carpet for a nice pretty black carpet
paint the center console from puke tan/brown to a nice black colour along w/ the arm rest wrapped in black leather
ya know dumb stuff
get some quarter inch wheel spacers on the car while I still can if not I won't be sitting still enough to have the time..
well anyways here's soem pics of what's going on in my garage... along w/ the famous Spy JDM pose of the week.
