Has anybody test drive one? I've been reading up on them a bit, since I've more than had it with the problem with my GA and was wondering what others opinion are of this car? The V-6 5spd auto does 0-60 in 7.0 sec, that's kinda nice.

I don't really like the looks of the new accord that much... If you want Honda/Acura. Look into the Acura TSX. It's pretty much the 4 door version of the RSX. (for looks anyways) not sure if it has the same engine/performance.

The problem with the TSX is that it doesn't have the Accord's 240hp V6 engine. It has a 200hp 4cly instead.

We had an Accord at work that I drove and I liked it alot. I don't mind the exterior looks, and I love the interior as well as the engine.

The exterior is bland. I can't say it's ugly but it aint cute either.:D
The interior is very nice. Perfomance is ok but for that price range you could get an 3.5L Altima with some real power!

Since I work for a Honda affiliate, our company cars are obviously Hondas, and we just recieved two brand new '03 Accords two weeks ago to replace a couple of our older ones. I havent had a chance to drive the new ones yet, but if they drive like the old ones, I'll be impressed. Of course, the old ones wernt rated at 240hp either. I cant wait to drive a new one:thumbs:

There is no size comparison, the TSX is much bigger then the RSX. I believe it is the same engine (16-valve, 2.4-liter, DOHC LEV-II engine) that the Type S RSX runs with, but has a bit more torque if I am not mistaken. I was recently at an Acura dealer looking into an RSX Type S and they had a couple TSX's on the lot and those things just look big in comparison.

I'd still perfer the RSX Type S hands down! Should be happening in the near future too, 6-speed!:)

If you must go import and sedan, go Altima or Maxima. Screw the Accord. The Altima does 0-60 in 6.3 seconds with a 5-speed manual.

The TSX is much larger than the RSX. It isn't the same engine, exactly... the TSX has a 2.4L, the RSX a 2L, although it's the same block (kinda like the 3100 vs. 3400). The TSX has the same engine as the Accord with a few differences.

The output is the same between the RSX Type S and the TSX engine. But your right it is a 2.4L in the TSX.

The very first (and immediate) thing I thought of when I saw the front end of the new "Hack"-ord: CHIPMUNK! I swear it looks like one from the front w/ that big "H" badge being the buck-teeth; LOL! :p From all other angles, it looks fairly good, albeit a bit bland. The interior's nice though, as is the engine. My dad test-drove one over Xmas when I visited and it had good pickup, but I don't think he really opened it up... I would rather have the last-gen coupe but w/ the newer engine. That's one Honduh design actually sorta liked.

I dont care for the looks of the new Accord, I keep thinking it's a new civic when I see the front of one... It's just too cheap... Don't like it at all... The 2002 coupes with the NSX like rears were so badass..

Saw a TSX couple days ago - VERY NICE CAR! I was really impressed...

I was thinking "cheap" too. The old Accord coupe reminded me of Acura. The new Accord sedan and coupe reminds me of a Civic.

I didn't say there WAS a power difference. What made you think I did?

Agreed on the looks of the Accord, although it is growing on me. I don't think it looks as classy as the last-gen car, though.

I also agree that the TSX is a very nice car. I'm just disappointed they felt the need to move it so far upmarket of my old beloved Integra. It doesn't have the same rough-and-tumble feel I liked so much about that car... it's too much a luxury car in comparison.

I really wish they would just do a four-door RSX, maybe with the TSX's bigger engine (I think it needs the extra torque).

Also thinking of trading in the old Grand Am. But not looking at Hondas or Toyotas because they are BORING. I test drove a new Grand Prix. It is a very nice ride with lots of techno gadgets. I really don't like the rear end though, and I think their selection of colors is lame.

Also debating the Dodge Intrepid SXT with 244 HP, or a Monte Carlo SS, although I don't know if I can deal with the huge doors. Plus it's a bit slow - would need mods. I know the 04 SS will have a supercharge engine, but that's out of my price range and would not have incentives for a while.

For the price of a Monte SS you could get a GTP or even a Comp G.
Monte Carlo's are all show and no go! It's the truth. GM should put body kits and stickers on the GPGT if thats the case.

Hey my friend just got a 2003 Honda Accord V6 in silver and he let me take it out for a spin. Im not very into the exterior but the interior really got to me. The new cd player in there is really nice, that and the dash have that white light to it like that alpine deck with bio-lite. I got to spank it a few times and it was a really quick car. I loved the engine. I prefered this car over my other friends 2001 eclipse gt spyder any day. It made me think about trading in the grand am, but so many people I know own accords already.
