in the near future, like in a year or so, this is going to be my next car. that is unless i save every penny i make so i can get the m3. anyway, i just want to know everyones opinions, thoughts, experiences, anything u can add, so that i can see what i might be expecting. from searching through a few sites about the car, it seems like a really sweet car. its classy, sporty, 2 dr, which i love, and other little things. anyone wanna chime in with a few things.

Its a great looking car, my girlfriends neighbor has a 3.2TL Type S and has had nothing but great things to speak of the car and Acura as well. I say this because I have spoken with him on getting an RSX Type S in the near near future. The 3.2CL Type S is a great looking car with the power to get moving as well.

GET THAT CAR!!!!

You could also look into getting the Comptech CL Type S... They strapped the same type of blower GM uses on the Series II 3800 and did a couple other things are are putting down around 370 HP... Only problem is for that kinda cash you could get an M3... So its up to you.. I would take an M3, but if you really want to have a near 400 HP CL Type S...

Go to www.mustangworks.com and do a search on a guy named "typeR". He has one that is pretty nice and I bet he could answer any questions you might have

thanks for the search, but i really dont have any questions that the specifics dont prove. it just totally fits what im looking for right now. classy, sporty, ballsy, 2dr, leather, sunroof, yada yada yada. i just figured my payments on it too, yikes 470/month, compared to my little 299/month for the grand am.

470 a month! Damn, just add $100 and get a 2003 Cobra:)

wtf

My parents are paying less than that on their fully-loaded 2002 Intrepid.

Buy a GTP.

i dont know how he got raped so bad on his payments, but i mean, geez, why pay 460 a month for a 4 cyl cavalier. he shouldve gotten a gtp for like 20 bucks more a month.

anyways, if i sell my ga, hopefull it will be private so i can sell it for more. i dont plan on selling it for another year cause i wanna finish off the payments. + i put in about 3500 in this car. then whatever i can put down would decrease my monthly value of the acura.

They are awesome cars. I was going to trade my GA in for one of those a LONG time ago, I only had the GA for a few months, and fell in love with the CL Type S.

They are quick as hell stock, i remember going to the dealership with my dad, and the guy let me have the car for a day. I remember cruising around, with the Xexons on, sunroof open, and Bose radio blastin. Everyone looked at it. It was a sweet car. Anyways, the Sport Shift is Awesome.

And they love to treat you right. Just think of it this way, they let a 17yo drive around a 35k car for the entire day, with no supervision, You think GM would ever let that happen? lol

Later,
Pat

Actually, if you have to go import, why spend so much on an Acura when a Nissan Altima can out perform it? You can buy a used 2003 SE V6 5-speed Altima for less than $18K.

like i said above, im a 2dr guy and i dont like 4drs. i like small 2 doors but not too small like a cavalier or civic. i think the ga or cl type-s is the perfect size. then again, the gtp is bigger and like that.

point is, i dont like 4 drs and i dont like 2dr go carts.

From what I've heard, this is the last year for the CL-S, so if you are serious about it, make sure you ask about future availability of the car at the dealership.

noooooooooo....ur kidding right? why the hell would they do that. i thought they were doing good with that car. if thats true, i dont know what im going to do. im sure as hell not buying a matchbox rsx. even though those have some giddie up, i wont fit in that and im only 6 feet tall.

i dont know what i would want to get if that happens. i wish the grand prix didnt change the body style and 4dr only thing. real stupid on gm's part as usual...

i guess i have to start thinking of a back up car if that news is true.

I resent this! Just say its not for you, don't bash it.

thats my way of saying its not for me.

if i was bashing it, i would've listed about 10 things wrong with the car.

Want me to bash it? Ok I won't, but I will say/ask that it's 2003 and why would someone build a car that costs more than 20,000 that does not have a center armrest?

GTP coupe sounds like the car for you. Lots of room, massive speed potential.

gtp sounds good and all, but i want a brand new one. and the 03's and 04's only come in 4 drs now and the new bodystyle sucks in my opinion.

my dad had a 00 black 2 dr gtp about 5 months ago but sold it. it had 19,000 miles and got 13,000 for it and the dealer sold it for 13,000. whoever bought that car pretty much drove it off the lot for free, cause for 13,000 dollars and 19,000 miles on a mint condition coupe gtp, your not gonna find too many of those around. i was gonna take it over but didnt have a job at the time and i couldnt afford like 500 payments a month.

anyway, the size of a gtp, looks, speed, and everything else, is what i would like, but cause gm decided not to make coupes anymore, i am moving to an acura.

and a monte ss is out of the picture.

It seems no one makes coupes that are not flat out sports cars or teeny matchbox cars.

What about the I35? 280HP is nice.

I'd have to go with Mike3800 on this one... I35 is a nicer car for the money, and rear-drive with 280hp sounds sweet...

guys guys guys....thanks for the lookout and all but this is the third i am saying im not a 4 dr guy. i would take the g35 coupe though. i little too small but i would handle cause that thing is sweet. im a picky fock, if u couldnt tell, and it seems theirs not that much out there for what im looking for. ahhh well, i still have a year right? something will come out during that year.

BTW... the CL is going away after this model year... :( I really like this car as well and it will certainly hold its value over the years. Although the used car market is awful right now for selling... these cars are all priced around $24-26k on average, with mileage - a relatively slight hit to the wallet. Try getting a Ford/Pontiac to do that!

Also, I have driven along side these cars... never an Altima, and let me just say, THEY ARE QUICK. (Acura 3.2L TL-type S, NOT not not... that little Integra derivative type-S, those are a joke).

Used... I would go for the TL Type S any day
New... G35 Coupe, or 350Z... that G is just so sweet though......

Honda Accord coupe???

I like the CL also. One of my favorite coupes. The G35 and 350Z are also. I like how when you pull forward the drivers or passengers seat, the seat moves forward automatically. But unfortunately, I have heard what others have heard. The CL will leave after this model year. But it may return though.

would love g35 or 250z, but i dont think i will have the money by then. which is smaller 350z or g35. im leaning more towards the 350z being smaller.

350Z is smaller, but from the reviews I have read the G35 i a nicer vehicle. I'd go for the Z since it is les expensive if I was in the market for either car.

The Z is also a 2 seater so no hauling friends around in that beast. Good or bad? You decide.

thats good. i never let anyone in my backseat of my ga. thats how anal i am. i am a smoker and the only other person that can smoke in my car is the front passenger. IF i do have people in the backseat, they cannot smoke. 2dr, dont want them missing when they ash and put holes. i have one main rule in my car, if u smoke and burn something u pay for it. if you break something they pay for it. when they hear those two things, they end up not wanting to ride in my car. lol.

so to some it up, that would be sweet if it was a 2 seater. but i dont carry anyone in the back seat anyway.
