We've been thinking about going to the beach but every hotel I look at wants upwards of $130-$150 a night to stay there. For us to stay two nights for a mini vacation we'd spend over three hundred dollars. wtf Is there anywhere online to make a reservation at a DECENT hotel at the beach for under $100? I've looked at Rehoboth, Ocean City, and Ocean City NJ. All the "discount" (whatever...) travel sites either have nothing available or their discount is $200 a night for a suite.

Any objection to Wildwood, NJ? the hotels arent' too bad there....the only prob is, it's the summer and rates go up. especially near holidays. it's prolly cheaper if you were to stay for more than 2 days too...sometimes there are slight discounts for the longer you stay.

Well first of all it's the SHORE :)
Even if you arent the gamblin type... Easy to get a cheap, decent room at any casino, and there's beach out the back door. OC is about a 20 min ride tops, even faster if you hop back on the highways. Real easy to get around down there...
I know people with houses so I can't be much more help..

Erika theres a reason they call it childwood...dont go to wildwood its a bunch of wannabe thugs and hoodlum underagers. In other words its a dump.
I'd look at sea isle, long beach island, ocean city (dry town though that sucks), cape may, avalon, or ocean city maryland. I got a pimp asss room in ocean city maryland for right around $100/night the rates jump up after like june 15th though. I'd recommend trying ocean city thats much nicer than the jersey shore and its definitly cheaper if you dont mind a furhter drive.

Well if you're looking to come down towards the Delaware Beaches and OC, then I know of one that was cheap and fairly nice. I always stay at the Fenwick Islander. It's, obviously, in Fenwick and minutes from OC. I stayed there during Prom and stuff. It was around $60 a night. Has an outdoor pool, double beds, balcony, stove, and maybe a fridge I think. If you're not looking for nothing extremely fancy...then that' s a good place to look into.

Shorti wanna split that fenwick islander with me and my bro? We'll bring a air matress so we would be good on the floor if you bring a friend. If not we'll get our own room there as well.

Oh well I don't know if I'm going to stay there during the OC car show. I may just come down and spend the day with everybody. I'll probably bring my daughter.

Dan,
Invest in a trailer. I have one down in Ocean View, NJ in a campground on Route 9. 5 minutes from Sea Isle City, 20 from OC and about 25 from WildWood. The campground is open from April 15 to October 15 and it cost $2000 for the whole season. I go down every weekend, it's awesome.
