i live in the country, so i dont get city water. so what do you think is the best way for me to wash my car? i usually go to the diy places, where i use the high pressure wash and the brush. is it best to do this or just get a mit and use my good ole country water?

Mitt and elbow grease! Those pressure washers don't do crap to remove the stuff caked on. If you still want to go to the washes, bring a bucket, a mitt, and some soap. Hose the car down, wash the car, then use the pressure washer to rinse.

Panacea, I second that! A nice towel or washrag will be best. Don't worry about city water, to a point, water is water! Just be careful to rinse out the mitt or rag well between cycles!

I used to live out in the boonies (S.Lyon, MI) and that water sucked!!! It had enough lime to make daquiris from the tap.
Anyhow, I used to use the local water to wash the grime and stuff off, then I would drive to civilization to re-rinse and dry.
I guess it depends on the quality of the well water you use.

this is kinda off topic but still relevant but if i just Zaino'ed my car and it gets dirty, what should i wash it with? I obviouslt cant use Dawn soap and i dont have the Zaino Car wash yet so what should i do? I was thinking i should just clean the dirt off with a wash mitt and water....nothing else. What do you all think?
thanks

Do you have a water softener at your house? We do and I hook the hose up to the tap and use the hot water to wash the car, that way the water doesnt leave all the nice deposits.
