If any of you know of any good beers that are brewed in Texas and not widely distributed about the country, please help me find some for the picnic. I will likley bring Shiner and Ziegenbock, and maybe a Celis variety or two. If you know of any others, please let me know.....

hmmm..............Shiner is all I can think of. Of course there's Lone Star :vomit: if you wanna mess with them.

Be sure to take a couple of Shiner variants, too. Their Hefeweisen is pretty damn good, and a lot of folks love Shiner Blonde (not my bag, though).

Yeah, maybe a sixer of each of those two, but I was hoping for something other than Shiner. Keep thinking about it. I have quite a while plan it out. :D

Make sure to bring some Saint Arnold. They have many types of beers and they are all great. My fav is their seasonal Saint Arnold Summer Pils. Its a great bohemian style pilsner. Tastes great and has a nice finish with a good aftertaste. Go to: http://www.saintarnold.com/ for more info. I can find lots of their stuff at Central Market and a few other beer stores here in Plano... Mr G's is another good place to find it.

Oh yeah, it has the coolest label too... its refreshing just looking at it!

Peeps,

I was just reading some beer reviews and Celis is not from Austin anymore... get this they are now owned and brewed by the Michigan Brewing Company!

So you're gonna have to represent us with plenty of Shiner, Ziegenbock (better than Shiner IMO) and make sure you bring some Saint Arnold... Summer Pils (MY Fav!!!!)
