this will change ur mind....i got bored today..i wanted to really put my clay bar to the test so i went over to my dad and I's restoration truck, being its 33 years old original paint fadded super bad, i would see what i could do to the beast...well clay bar'd and waxed it, u be the judge..lets just say i about crapped my pants, looks like new paint the first shot is just a clay bar

Yeah but my GA's paint isn't anywhere near that bad. why would I need it? :D

There is one drawback to that kind of test though... your father will undoubtedly want you to do the rest of the truck now!

Get a pre-wax thingy... It removes the oxidation in the paint and crap, then claybar. It will probably make the claybaring job much easier.
