I am just wondering what a product like this does:

http://waxdepot.safeshopper.com/92/559.htm?799

Does it really make a difference if I put it on after washing??? Also, does it negatively affect the wax thats already on my car. Thanks.

That is what Mother's sends with their clay bars for lubricant.

That is all I personally would use it for. I tried using that after a wash, and was not impressed at all. Z6 has spoiled me. Nothing compares...

I use the Meguiars spray stuff all the time, It isn't as good as a real spray wax, but it removes water spots, drip marks, anything like that with just a buffing. Wipe on, wipe off. Adds a little shine, but not spectacular.

do NOT use that crap!
i personally use zaino but for my dads car i waxed with the mothers wax that came with my clay bar kit. then i used some of that detailer stuff and it was just horrible!
only use it as a lube for the clay bar....thats it.

OK, here are my thoughts....First off, QD's are not spray waxes. Some have wax in them, but they are NOT simply a spray wax. Mothers is actually a very highly rated QD, though everyone will have their own opinion. On a Zainoed car, Z6 is best, but on a "waxed" car, Mothers will outperform Z6. I know I am not offering much here, but it's about all I can think of right now. Please PM me or post here with any other questions!

Relax, I was just making sure you knew I was just stating the facts, not accusing anyone.

Yes, it will make is shine better, and Mothers is a good QD. They all have shine enhancing ingredients. Try and see what YOU think!

I have Meguiars Quick Detail Spray. What a waste. It does keep it shiny (has some wax in it) if you get a fingerprint or something. But you're supposed to wipe it in and then let it haze a little and wipe it off. Well, typically I use a chamois cloth, one side to apply and the other side to remove. First off it sprays all over the place because the directions say keep 12" away. Then because it's wet when you wipe it in, it just 'fogs' the surface and then you really have to wipe hard to buff it back. It's easier just to use your chamois to get the fingerprint off by itself (kinda the old fashion way).

Same experience I had with it. I walked into my place telling my wife I just HAD to order some Z6 and fast... :D

Every Zaino product I have tried has just completely outperformed the competition products I have tried. Most recently, the leather conditioner.

I have had no problems with the Meguirs QD.
I have a black GAGT and it works great.
On the bottle I have it says, "Do not let self dry".
Spray on, wipe around, wait like 2 secs and wipe off.

Been using it for years ( but I prefer the Meguairs finishing spray), so do most of the guys you see at the Hot Rod shows. If you spray it on, wipe it off, and go over it with a soft cloth (I use baby blankets) it shines like a new wax job. I use it on my GA (Tropical Teal is just like black, shows everything) and I used it on my black F150....never had a problem and always have people ask why I never have any swirls.
