Resizing Pics, So I Can Post? HELP!

I have new pics of my car that I wanna post, but it says too many bytes... I have posted pics before... but... I like the size of these pics... They are even smaller than some pics ppl post... I don't wanna resize them b/c I think that will take away from the pics... PLEASE HELP!

Go to File - Export - JPEG Optimizer


You can up the compression until it falls under the max limit without changing the file size. You lose a little quality, but not anything really noticeable... or that would detract from the image.

The only other way is to shrink the dimensions, or find another program to increase compression.

Otherwise, the only thing to do is host them on another website / service and link to them here.


PSP is a free DL for the 30 day trial.

If you have MS Office or MS Word and by luck happen to have MS Photo Editor installed, that can increase compression as well... Open the photo, then click File, Save As... and click More at the bottom. It will offer the chance to increase the compression there.

Although I agree that PSP is probably your best bet.
