I was washing my car yesterday, and I noticed my spoiler is REALLY scratched up. Its like paint swirls, but worse. I never noticed it this bad before, maybe it was the lighting, but no other part of my car is like this, any ideas on what could be causing this??? Thanks.

I had this exact same problem. It took me a while to figure out where it came from. I finally realized it was from me setting my beer cases on the spoiler to close the trunk before going in the house. lol
A quick rub-down with swirl remover got rid of them no problem. :)

3M makes a good SMR and so does Mequiars. I don't think it matters which brand, but you want to make sure you get a good quality swirl remover. From what I was told, your best bet is to use a random orbit polisher, but by hand works too.
You can get it at pretty much any store that sells car stuff. Pep Boys, etc...

OK thanks, will this stuff hurt my paint at all, i just want to be sure.
Make sure you get stuff that says it's clear-coat safe. Other than that, just follow the directions on the bottle.

Well i got me some meguires Scratch-X, it reduces the apperance of all the scratches and paint swirls alot, especially after I put zymol on afterwards. I am going to do the whole car eventually.
