looks good, what material did you use for the heat shield?

Well, I used a special plastic for a thermomolder to make it. It's fairly rigid stuff, and doesnt transfer heat so it works well for the shield. Our school has some extra so I use that, the price was right. :) I made a template out of paper and cardboard to get the basic shape then cut it out and used a heavy duty sander to touch it up. I used the extisting support from the old airbox to attach heatshield. I made a bracket out of 90 degree angle iron and drilled through it for the screw holes.
I did it all in school so I was very fun to do!

i undersatnd the concept and everything, but it doesnt look like it would work all that well... like it would just suck in air through that gap near the air tube.... i have my filter sitting inside the lower part of the stock intake box to get a little cold air flow through that... oh well it looks cool, j/w...peace
