DHP for SE?????????when

ok, its been like almost a month now and there is still no DHP for the SE's. the last I heard they were going to be released shortly after the GT ones. has any one heard any thing about when they will be comming out?? I'd hate to take my buisness to either JET or ASE.

I'd say not too long. Mine finally says "shipped." So that means Charles fixed mine. My guess is that it couldn't be too much longer until they show up on PFYC. Write Charles, he's good about getting back to people.

ok that DHP should work on an SE, all it says is the 3.4 litre engine for 99 should be the same for a v6 se, but it also says 125 core charge do u get that back off of 295??? how does that work?? anyone actually have that and how do u like it??

The total cost is $425. When you send the core in, they send you a check for $125. So the total cost is $300+shipping if you send you stock PCM in. You have 14 days to get it back to them from the time you received it.

i think the different tranny is messing it up, for using a GT one in a SE

Claymore I've got my fingers crossed that it's here by the end of the week. It'll probably be in my car within 24 hours of it getting here. I won't be hitting a dyno anytime soon, though. Still waiting on too much crap.

Thank you, its only 5 days away and I'm getting nervous. I had my bachelor party all this weekend (from friday night at 11:00 untill Sunday afternoon) I drank constantly and my guys and I went to some strip clubs in WV. I felt the pain of my actions all day yesterday and today. :vomit:

The GT program will not work in an SE. Mainly because of the trans issue I think. I don't know where you guys got the info, but I haven't heard anything about them making an SE program after releasing the GT program. As far as I know they haven't done any work on an SE. They'd need a test car before they could do anything, and honestly speaking, I don't think the market is big enough for them to even waste their time on it. :rolleyes:

If I'm not mistaken, mfuller has the DHP in his Alero. I'm sure if someone wanted it done on an SE they would do it. If an SE is a waste of time as far as the market goes, an Alero would be in the same category. There has top be a lot more modded SEs than Aleros. :rolleyes:

Sorry guys, just being honest. Most people modding out their GA's have GT's statistically. I'm sure with only a little finagling they can make a program for SE's. I just don't know if they plan on making it mass available or not. Yes, Mfuller does have a DHP program on his Alero. He happened to be at the dyno day when they were testing cars. Don't know how much they did to it cause he had problems on the dyno (coolant leak) but it did get programmed. It took them a long time to get a program to market for the GAGT, because our market is half the size of the grand prix market and it keeps them pretty busy. They were working on my car early last summer, and they did a 99 GT program about a year before that.

Speaking of schedules and "test cars", I'll offer AGAIN in the hopes someone from DHP will respond. I have a 1999 SE available as a test car. I can meet ANYONE in Michigan at damn near ANY TIME to get a burn done. I will pay FULL price! So, you all see it, DHP has NO excuse for not making a '99 SE reprogram in the near future. Obviously there are a few interested parties right here on this thread. And with respect to Aaron's comments, I would hope DHP's attitude is not really like that towards the SE crowd. After all, it is almost the same car with different body mouldings glued on the side!!!

I have completely 'screwed the pooch' for him. As I told him work is killing me and that is the majority of the problem. I ALSO promised him this unit by GAP; however, I infact had the wrong date. [:(]

He will have a tracking # by Monday and if he doesn't you are all welcome to come over to my place and FLOG me in person.

Dave has been VERY patient due to our screwup and he will be getting a nice rebate on his unit to show my appreciation with his patience.

BTW, I didn't include any doc on the installation as the pcm itself is pretty easy to swap; HOWEVER, you'll MOST LIKELY need to do a security relearn.

the procedure is to .....

1.) Attempt to start the car. (note car won't start)
2.) Release key back to the 'ON' position (NOT OFF!, on)
3.) Wait with key in 'ON' position for 12 minutes or until security light goes out.
4.) Turn key to 'OFF' position
5.) Repeat #1 - 4 until car starts and runs (should be 3 complete cycles)
