the sensor that plugs into the intake, i smashed it to peices when it didn't fit in the new intake...
I did that too on my 2000....as long as you just broke the small protective tip it shouldnt be a big deal.....It seemed to always work fine after that for me.....
Oh, its the IAT
Intake Air Temperture measuring thingy :)

first i broke the protective peice, then i bent the little nipple thing on the end... i think half of it is still connected, is it gonna ruin anything? how much does it cost? ... im not too worried about it...
I really don't know....I'd go to a junk yard and pull one.....just try to not get raped by the dealer.

waiting on rim orders :) gonna show these gts how we do
jesus i couldn't believe how much stock air box there was i think i left a tube to the right of the batteryt hat goes down? i dunno the sun was beaming my brain... and the bracket that came with the intake that looks like it hooks onto the power steering portion didn't seem to line up right so its sorta dangling atm, trying to figure out a way to hold it in place as well as find out how im gonna make this a cai or if its even worth it because of the length the air would have to travel to go down...

I don't think that's what he was implying.
EDIT: i think he's goin to show the GT's that the SE's can bling too:)
Umm if you get a SES light you broke it. If not then its not broken

k, i had a ses light before, a nd trust me by the mangled peice dangling out ... it was broke ;)
and i meant that as se's rarely get the attention that gt's do...
and my rims wont bling, they are anthracite ;)

Like when a GT has no wheels or blows a head gasket!:D Just joking, I'm in a sarcastic mood. I ran my GT pitifully the other night at the track following a VW Golf with a 4 banger. I was ashamed of myself and damn jealous of the guy who ran low 14's in the 1/4.

The piece you need is PN 12102620 and I think it ran me about 15 bucks at the dealer. I had to replace mine due to my SES light on. What happened was the wire broke inside the insulation, so I had to replace it. TSB for my problem was #02-06-03-005. Hope this helps.

Yea, you dont want to run with that thing busted. And that tube that you saw near the battery leads to the rest of your stock air box, the intake resonator that sits behind your headlight.

guess i gotta finish taking that out one day, do i push it thru or pull it up? i tried pulling it up and it didn't seem too receptive at first...

The little tube thing (the bend) will pop right up. But , there is a big ol mass of plasic underneath there, that I took a baby hacksaw to to get it out. Once you disconnect your airbox and put in a cone or something, it doesnt do diddle, so it doesnt matter if its there or not. But, i needed to yank it to put in a CAI.
