Ok, first before the forum had to be rebuilt, I had DVD issues that I was about to go crazy over. (by they way thanks for gettin it back online for all of us. :) ) Well it turns out that whoever said it was teh voltage output into the adapter, they were right. It had an onscreen menu to adjust the veriable output level. I turned it down and bam all the crackle was gone. Strangly enough it only needs to be down on audio (wav or MP3), since the DVD can be played with it at any level.. But thanks a million man you saved me some serious headaches. lol.

The Review:
Power acoustik PADVD-80 and Power acoustik 5.6" tv screens with Lightning Audio cabling.

First the DVD is great! For the price it is amazing. I took it out yesterday with my girl watching Fast and the Furious. We went over the railroad mess (about 8 tracks all in one spot), then through town, and on teh interstate and neve once did it flux or skip or anything. the remote works from anywhere inside the car so no need to aim it or anything. I love since you can eject and close the unit from teh remote. It is in teh glove box, so it makes it much easier and safer for me to change cds. Although they put the volume and track changing cuttoms at the veyr bottom, so theyt ar enot easy to get to and I keep dropoing the dam thing.

The screens are dam worth every penny, and they only cost a couple anyway. So far they are perfect. bright color, you can see them from lots of angles, and they are very thin. After watching an entire movie it was actually pretty hot, not sure if that is normal or not. By hot Imena it was worm to the touch, but nothing like a hot amp or anything. kind of like the temp of a cd when it comes out. The mounting pod, left somethinot be desied. Cheap plastic (very cheap), but it did fit perfectly, and was easy to install. I wish I had painted it the ash color prior to install, but that was a mistake I will not make again. (by the way I have instructions on visor mounting Tvs in our car if anyone cares).

Those Lightning Audio wires. Well they seem to be great. ot distortion and easy to run, and they were affordable, but I will not buy anymore, since they seem to be cheaply built. The connectors keep coming lose. I mean the metal surround screws onto the connector and it will not stay tight, so I ended up taping the ends of each RCA. Plus when trying to unplug one my hand slipped a little and grabbed the wire, and that cover just slipped right off and on the inside of this pretyt cover were two about 60gauge wires twisted. Yes I wanted twisted pairs, but OMG those wires were so small there was no way I could hardely splice a wire that small. so they have a nice cover to fool you. The monster cable RCA I recently switched to for the subs was much much better. Bu tI am goin ot leave them in there isnce they do seem to do the job, just shotty construction I think.

For those who have not gone multimedia OMG it is woth it. :) feeling the sound of Fast and the furious in the car and the quality screen was just bad ass! Defionatly a good idea for a date. lol. a "back seat" movie with 140db of bass. lol...

No problem man. Glad I was able to help.
The reason the DVD output is ok is because its very low to begin with. In my player the DVD output is probably half the volume of the CD/MP3 output, which is sort of annoying sometimes because you have to adjust the volume all the time.

What kind of dvd player did you get? Mine was so crappy that it broke already. Now I've installed a book PC in the glove box that handles everything.

Up in that really long post up there I mentioned the dvd. lol. It was the Power Acoustik PADVD-80. I really like it and the features. It plays MP3, MPEG, DVD, DVD audio, Audio, and some other formatts I am not even sure about. lol. It has onscreen menus for the song titles automatically, and the DVD has it's menu's as well. Plus the remote works great and is full function. It has a TV input and a Camera input on the back, plus it has 12v power putputs to use. Not to sure about its life span, I can noly hope it lasts me a long time. lol.
