Alrighty- tonight I'm taking my 100% stock Grand Am GT1 to the track. Its moderately humid and will be about 65-70 degrees when I get there, and the car will be warmed up. I'm going to post what I run later tonight.
I'm hoping 16-flat or maybe even a 15.9 :D

Here we go! What an AWESOME night!
Track elevation: approx. 180ft above sea level
Humidity: medium-to-low
All runs were done with ETS off, and floored on green.
1ST RUN (best time)
Temp: approx 70 degrees
Engine Temp: 200
RT: 1.104 (I know, I suck)
60: 2.262
330: 6.562
1/8: 10.101 @ 70.08
1000: 13.145
1/4: 15.772 @ 85.94
2ND RUN (worst time)
Temp: approx 70 degrees
Engine Temp: 210
RT: 1.013
60: 2.261
330: 6.612
1/8: 10.191 @ 69.49
1000: 13.242
1/4: 15.874 @ 85.74
3RD RUN (best run, yet engine was hotter)
Temp: approx 65 degrees
Engine Temp: 230
RT: 1.004
60: 2.256
330: 6.588
1/8: 10.138 @ 70.06
1000: 13.167
1/4: 15.781 @ 86.37
My second run came out bad because I tried to get a peak shift out of 2nd gear. At 5500RPM, I let the car shift to 3rd, which put me at 4 grand on the dot- EXACTLY where all my power is. However, the transy shuddered slightly and didn't connect well at first. I think this was because I was applying the FULL 205ft-lbs on the transy during the shift. This explains the near identical numbers all the way until the 1/4, where the gear slipped and cost me a tenth of a second.
Overall I think my car performed EXCELLENTLY. I was figuring on running a 16 flat, or maybe a 15.9 at best. This speaks good for the future!

Thanks! Jagey, its really the first time in about 6 months since I've raced at the track, but I'm gonna start going regularly. I'm hoping I can get the RT down, once I get used to the light changes and all.

Reaction time doesnt mean crap.
Decent 60fts, try to get them to 2.0.
I know i need to get mine from 2.4 down to a 1.8 =/

I'm not much for drag racing, nor have i ever been to the track. However, i always thought that reaction time did kinda matter. Logically, once the light turns green, the time starts ticking right? So if your reaction is slow, the time starts ticking, but you aren't moving. If i'm wrong, please correct me.

R/T isn't included in your 1/4 time. The clock doesn't start til you break the second staging beam.
Edit: Nice times Kam

MIAaron is right. If I sat at the light for 30 seconds after it turns green, and then floored it, I'd still run a 15.7 1/4. RT only matters for who wins the race.

Oh ok, sorry guys! I didn't realize the track was run by fancy lasers and stuff.
